Shepherds Report... This morning, August 31st, brings an end to the two week period for anyone in this church family to express their concerns about any of the brothers who were placed before this congregation as elder candidates.  We asked God to guide us in this search and we feel blessed that He sent us twelve men who will be installed as additional shepherds during next Sunday morning’s assembly time. Please continue to pray for these men.  They have accepted one of the most important servant tasks found in the New Testament.  Shepherds are men who are responsible for the souls of those they lead.  It is not something to be taken lightly.  It’s because that task is so important, that we are excited about having such a large group to help us truly do the things God wants His spiritual leaders to do.  It is our prayer that we will be able to offer much more guidance and mentoring to everyone in our church family who needs help and encouragement. Look carefully at each of these names and remember that God called each of us to submit to our spiritual leaders.  As leaders, we must set the example by submitting to one another, which is what our Shepherd’s Covenant clearly states.
