The Florissant Church of Christ Health Care Ministry, enabled by the risen Christ, is dedicated to promoting health and wellness.  We seek to assist members and the surrounding community to assume greater responsibility for a healthy lifestyle.  It is our goal to empower them through education to focus on the health and wholeness of the body, mind and spirit.

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; you were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your body."
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

We Exist To...

• Help members promote health and prevent disease by identifying risk factors.
• Help members understand how health services are organized and structured.
• Help members access basic health care and community resources.
• Provide support and reassurance to members who are in crisis, as well as to members dealing with long-term issues.
• Educate members regarding the importance of healthy lifestyles.  Many deaths and illnesses can be reduced, if not eliminated, by changing habits.
• Provide early interventions in beginning stages of illness to prevent serious problems.
• Provide counseling, screening, and referrals.
• Direct members to appropriate self-help/support groups.
• Visit members and/or family members in their homes and hospitals.
• Assist members in utilizing their faith to aid in the healing process.
